The cynical merchants
Drumming their wares.

The tedious tunes
Day after day.
The garish religious
Scenes on display.
I’m not doing Christmas

The brainless feel-good movies.
The tramps in Santa gear.
The endless drunken parties
And the insincere good cheer.

I gotta get out,
Away from the West.
A Buddhist or Hindu
Place would be best.
Anywhere that isn’t
Like here.
